Modern office setting Food provided We are looking for an experienced and passionate Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a background in education and be able to create a stimulating learning environment for students. The successful candidate will be able to develop lesson plans, assess student performance, and provide guidance to students. We are looking for someone who is patient, organized, and has excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a Classroom Teacher as needed for ratio/room compliance. Maintain enrollment and waiting list of potential students. Manage student enrollment and paperwork to maintain DCFS standards. Ensure all paperwork is complete before the first day of student attendance. Ensure that DCFS records for children are current and reminders are sent home to parents for upcoming items that are about to expire. Send second notice reminders within 1 month of the due date and third notice reminders within 1 week prior to the due date. Maintain playground and door check logs. Maintain communication with staff and chef to ensure supplies are ordered in a timely manner. Provide facility tours to potential student families, new hires, and others as needed. Assist the Director in determining when children transition from one classroom to the next and inform parents and classroom teachers before the transition. Work with the Director to manage staff absences and adjust staff responsibilities as needed for Center operations. Rotate weekly on-call. Gather and enter family enrollment information into ProCare software. Work with the Director to determine parent billing and food program level. Work with the Director to ensure that the Health and Safety boards of each classroom have the proper information displayed. (Location of form, allergy list, medicine list, emergency #'s.) Assist Director with DCFS compliance for the center. Assist Director with planning staff and parent activities. Complete monthly food program totals, fill in recaps, and submit to ISBE. Complete first-aid kit inventories monthly. Assist with all administrative duties (answer phones, cover staff bathroom breaks, etc.). Demonstrate a commitment to professionalism, ethical conduct, and confidentiality. Assist Executive Director with additional responsibilities as assigned. Facilitate the operation of the center in the absence of Director.
