Center Director (Director I or Director II)

Haverhill, MA Job Type:
Full-Time We are opening a new child care center in Haverhill, MA and are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated Center Director to lead our program from the ground up. Our center will serve children 3 months to 7 years of age , and we're looking for a leader who is passionate about providing high-quality early childhood education while building a positive culture for children, families, and staff. Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the child care center. Ensure compliance with all Massachusetts EEC licensing regulations. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise teaching staff. Support teachers through coaching, mentoring, and professional development. Build strong relationships with children, families, and the community. Oversee enrollment, tours, scheduling, and family communication. Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment. Prepare for EEC licensing visits and ensure all required documentation is maintained. Qualifications Massachusetts EEC Director I (DI) Certification required at a minimum. Director II certification is preferred. Previous experience in a leadership role within an early childhood education program. Strong knowledge of Massachusetts EEC regulations and licensing requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain.
