Overview Patterson Grove Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, is seeking a part-time Director of Children's Ministries to lead and develop a Christ-centered ministry for children birth through 5th grade and their families. The Director of Children's Ministries will work alongside the pastor, church staff, teachers, volunteers, and families to provide opportunities for children to know Jesus, grow in their faith, and experience meaningful discipleship, fellowship, and outreach.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Oversee and provide leadership for children's ministries from birth through 5th grade Lead and support Children's Sunday School and Children's Church Recruit, equip, encourage, and train children's ministry teachers and volunteers Help select biblically sound curriculum and discipleship resources Lead and coordinate Vacation Bible School Plan and oversee children's activities, outreach events, and family-centered opportunities Provide leadership for ministries such as Upward Soccer, children's camp, Good News Clubs, seasonal events, and other outreach opportunities Coordinate child-safety training and help ensure appropriate safety procedures are followed Partner with local schools and other community outreach ministries Work collaboratively with the pastor and other church leaders to strengthen the overall ministry to children and families

Qualifications:

A baptized Christian and committed follower of Jesus Christ Believes the Bible is the Word of God and the ultimate authority for faith and life In fundamental agreement with the beliefs and ministry of Patterson Grove Baptist Church A heart for reaching, teaching, and discipling children and their families Ability to recruit, equip, and work effectively with volunteers Educational and/or biblical training is preferred Ability to pass a background check and complete required child-safety training This position averages 20 hours per week with an annual salary of $20,800 .
