Job Summary We are a child-led, nature immersed, play based school looking for a part time teacher. We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education environment. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom where children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. Your enthusiasm for early childhood development will help foster a love of learning and support each child's unique growth trajectory. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in preschool teaching, classroom management, and child welfare, ensuring every child receives personalized attention and encouragement to thrive. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills tailored to preschool-aged children. Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior through effective behavior management strategies. Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and adapt lesson plans accordingly. Engage in active communication with parents and guardians to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns proactively. Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR procedures. Collaborate with colleagues to design age-appropriate activities that support early intervention and special education needs when necessary. Document daily activities, attendance, and developmental milestones while ensuring compliance with mandated reporting laws. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, with a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Knowledge of early intervention strategies, special education accommodations, and literacy education best practices. Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in childhood education or special education are preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is advantageous.
