Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by providing attentive supervision, engaging activities, and nurturing care. Duties Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist with implementing age-appropriate educational programs focused on childhood development and learning milestones Support classroom management by organizing activities, materials, and play areas to promote engagement and safety Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, needs, and daily experiences Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that adheres to health and safety standards Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of neglect or abuse and reporting concerns appropriately Support children with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other caregiving responsibilities as needed Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure quick response in emergencies (or willing to obtain upon hire) Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols Passion for nurturing young minds and supporting their growth through caregiving and educational activities
