Full Job Description Job Title:

Infant Teacher Position Summary The Infant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants (typically ages 6 weeks to 12/18 months). This role focuses on supporting each child's emotional, physical, cognitive, and social development through responsive caregiving and developmentally appropriate practices. Key Responsibilities Provide attentive, responsive care to meet each infant's individual needs, including feeding, diapering, sleeping, and soothing Build strong, trusting relationships with infants through consistent, nurturing interactions Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support developmental milestones Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in accordance with licensing regulations Closely supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being Track and document daily activities, including feedings, diaper changes, naps, and developmental observations Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians about their child's day and progress Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures Work collaboratively with other staff members and participate in team meetings Recognize and respond appropriately to signs of developmental delays or health concerns Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA, associate's, or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Experience working with infants in a childcare setting preferred Knowledge of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to meet state licensing requirements (background check, health screening, etc.)
