Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to inspire young minds and foster a nurturing learning environment for children in their early developmental stages. In this role, you will design engaging activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth tailored specifically for toddlers. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula focused on early childhood development, literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive social interactions among toddlers. Manage daily classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor activities with patience and care. Use effective behavior management strategies to guide children's social skills and emotional regulation. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings or written updates. Document child development progress using standardized testing tools and maintain accurate records of daily activities and observations. Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that integrate special education techniques and early intervention strategies when needed. Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety of all children in compliance with child welfare regulations. Maintain certifications such as First Aid and CPR to ensure readiness for emergency situations. Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, behavior management, and classroom management techniques. Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, literacy education, and Montessori methods is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that incorporate math, physical education, and preschool teaching strategies. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required or must be obtained upon hire. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude focused on child welfare and development.
