The Preschool Teacher will plan and implement educational activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual development while maintaining a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote early childhood development. Instruct preschool-aged students, following curricula or lesson plans, in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment. Foster children's social, emotional, language, cognitive, and physical growth. Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being. Observe, assess, and document children's progress and developmental milestones. Maintain positive communication with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities. Guide children in developing appropriate behavior, self-help skills, and positive social interactions. Prepare classroom materials, learning centers, and educational resources. Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and developmental records. Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations, health standards, and safety procedures. Assist children with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, rest periods, and transitions. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support program goals and educational objectives.
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • The ability to start the DCF 45 Hour Early Childhood Course (Free Online Course).
  • Applicants must be18 years of age because Florida childcare laws require a person to be at least 18 years old to be a primary caregiver in a licensed daycare center.
