The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and a passion for working with young children. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for our little ones while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities :
Partners with co-teacher to develop and implement daily lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate for toddlers. Establishes and enforces rules for behavior and procedures in order to ensure a safe and productive classroom. Organizes and leads activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling. Teaches basic skills, such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills. Observes and evaluates children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. Provides a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play. Prepares materials and classrooms for class activities. Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. Completes required logs and daily documentation. Maintains a clean classroom environment. Assisting with diapering, feeding, and other basic care tasks if needed.
Qualifications:
Bilingual preferred Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must have DCF 45 hours. CDA, FCCPC, VPK-Credential or a degree in an education related field is highly preferred Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a team player. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification if not already certified.
