In this vital role, you will provide essential care and assistance to residents in an adult day care facility settings. Your energy and commitment will help promote independence, safety, and well-being for those with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges such as dementia or autism. This position offers an opportunity to work in a rewarding environment where your caregiving skills directly impact quality of life. Duties •
Personal Care:
Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility (walking, transfers).
Health Monitoring:
Take vital signs (temp, pulse), report changes, and assist with medication reminders/administration as trained.
Activity Engagement:
Lead or assist with social, physical, and cognitive activities as planned.
Companionship:
Offer emotional support, conversation, and build positive relationships.
Environment:
Perform light housekeeping, maintain cleanliness, and ensure a safe environment for clients.
Meal Support:
Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed.
Documentation:
Accurately complete daily logs, incident reports, and follow Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
Safety & Policy:
Uphold confidentiality, follow all program policies, and use appropriate behavior management techniques (like ABA if trained). Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as zero tolerance,hippa,direct care competency,are a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with resident getting on transportation van, or to the bathroom. Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills for working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or other special needs Valid experience in medication administration, care planning, and working within long-term care or hospice settings is advantageous Embark on a fulfilling career where your dedication transforms lives.
