Job Description
KinderCare is hiring an After School Teacher to support Blessed Sacrament Catholic School students in a safe, engaging environment. You'll supervise K-8 children after school, lead homework help, organize games and enrichment activities, and promote positive behavior and social-emotional development. Responsibilities include maintaining a secure classroom, communicating with families and school staff, following licensing and safety standards, and supporting KinderCare's inclusive culture. Ideal candidates have experience with children, strong classroom management, and a passion for helping students grow and succeed. Responsibilities Supervise students in an after-school setting to ensure safety and engagement Lead homework support and academic enrichment activities Plan and facilitate games, crafts, and group activities Promote positive behavior and support social-emotional development Maintain a clean, organized, and secure classroom environment Communicate regularly with families and school staff about student needs Follow all school, Kinder Care, and state licensing policies and procedures Implement health, safety, and emergency protocols Accurately track attendance and required documentation Support Kinder Care's inclusive, nurturing culture and mission Required Skills Classroom management Child supervision Lesson and activity planning Homework and academic support Behavior management strategies Basic child development knowledge Communication with parents and staff Safety and emergency procedures Recordkeeping and attendance tracking Collaboration with school personnel
