Job Overview Monday - Wednesday from 11:00am till 1230. We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Floater to join our early childhood education team! In this vital role, you will serve as a flexible support staff member, stepping into various classroom environments to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality care. Your energetic approach and versatile skill set will help create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for children of different ages. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain broad experience in childcare and early childhood education while making a positive impact on young learners' development. Duties Provide consistent supervision and care for 2 to 3 children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist lead teachers with classroom activities, including child development instruction, play-based learning, and behavioral management Support children with daily routines Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that promotes learning and safety Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences Follow mandated reporting laws and health protocols to ensure compliance with safety standards Collaborate with team members to implement individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities Assist in classroom management by engaging children in age-appropriate activities that foster growth in early childhood development Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or obtainable upon hire Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and age groups Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Demonstrated skills in behavior management, classroom management, and caregiving techniques Passion for nurturing young children's growth through engaging activities and positive reinforcement Join us as a Floater and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to fostering the development of every child!
