Early Childhood Piano Teacher For Small Group Classes North Shore Piano Studio Lynn, MA Job Details Part-time | Contract From $65 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Qualifications Youth programs teaching experience Piano Personal service experience with children Working with students Full Job Description North Shore Piano Studio is looking for a warm, energetic teacher to lead our small-group piano program for children ages 4-6. Classes are limited to 4 students and use a structured curriculum combining piano playing, rhythm, ear training, movement, musical games, and other age-appropriate activities. This is a great position for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and knows how to keep a group engaged, encouraged, and having fun while learning. You do not need a degree in music or education. We value experience working successfully with young children more than advanced piano credentials.
What We're Looking For:
Loves working with children ages 4-6 Comfortable managing and engaging a small group of young children Dependable, positive, patient, and professional Communicates well with both children and parents Basic-to-intermediate piano skills Comfortable reading both treble and bass clef Basic understanding of rhythm, music theory, and healthy piano technique Open to training and following an established curriculum Previous experience teaching piano, music, preschool, elementary school, children's activities, camps, or similar programs is strongly preferred. A music or education degree is welcome, but not required .
What We Provide:
Paid training Complete Piano Playground curriculum and lesson materials Small classes of no more than 4 students Administrative and scheduling support Starting pay of $50 per 45-minute class. $5 per class raise every 6 months, reaching $80 per class. Regular pay increases over time Potential opportunities to teach additional group classes for kids age 6-16 or private piano lessons Schedule We are currently looking to add Piano Playground classes during one or more of the following times: Friday afternoons Saturday mornings Sunday afternoons Weekday mornings Applicants do not need to be available for all of these times. We're looking for the right teacher and can build the initial schedule around their availability and student demand. If you're someone who lights up around young children, enjoys music, and wants to teach in a supportive environment without having to create your own curriculum or manage the administrative side of the job, we'd love to hear from you.
