Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. This role involves developing curriculum, managing classroom activities, and supporting children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Prior experience with children in preschool settings, along with strong communication skills and knowledge of childhood development principles, is essential. The Preschool Lead Teacher will play a vital role in creating a positive learning atmosphere that promotes growth and curiosity. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Plan and execute daily lesson plans that promote active learning and developmental milestones. Manage classroom environment to ensure safety, engagement, and positive behavior management. Foster inclusive classroom settings accommodating children with special education needs or requiring early intervention services. Support social-emotional development through behavior management strategies and child welfare practices. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress and address individual needs. Supervise assistant teachers and classroom aides, providing guidance on instructional techniques and classroom management. Incorporate standardized testing or assessments when appropriate to monitor developmental progress. Maintain detailed records of student activities, assessments, and developmental milestones. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety protocols at all times. Skills Extensive knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education. Experience with curriculum development across various domains including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Strong classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment. Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, staff, and community partners. Experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare or private school settings is preferred. Familiarity with teaching physical education, tutoring techniques, or standardized testing is advantageous. Knowledge of behavior management strategies tailored for young children. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and social-emotional learning activities.
