Kingdom Kare is a nationally accredited center serving children from birth through age five, with before and after care for children ages six through twelve. We are seeking a Lead Early Childhood Educator who can guide a classroom, create engaging learning experiences, and help every child feel safe, valued, and ready to grow. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that support children's learning and development. Lead daily classroom activities and maintain a positive, nurturing environment. Observe children's progress and adapt activities to meet individual needs. Communicate regularly with families about their children's development and classroom activities. Guide and support assistant educators in classroom routines and teaching practices. Work with families and relevant specialists to support children with individual learning needs. Maintain classroom records and follow applicable health, safety, and licensing requirements. Qualifications At least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or GED. Early childhood education coursework and credentials that meet Maryland requirements for the assigned classroom. Relevant training may include a 90-hour child care certification and, for an infant or toddler classroom, 45 hours of infant and toddler training. Experience working with young children; lead classroom experience preferred. Ability to plan independently, communicate clearly, and work with families and colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Ability to bend and lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to pass required background checks.
