Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional growth. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management. Engage children in hands-on activities that promote cognitive, motor, and language development tailored to their individual needs. Communicate regularly with parents to share progress, address concerns, and foster strong partnerships in child welfare. Maintain accurate documentation of child development milestones, standardized testing results, and classroom activities. Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care. Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons, coordinate classroom management strategies, and enhance overall program quality. Skills Proven experience working with children in early childhood or preschool settings, including infant, toddler care and preschool teaching. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, first aid and CPR certification is preferred. Demonstrated ability to create inclusive learning environments that support diverse learners and promote child welfare.
