This is a year-round administrative position responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the school while providing leadership for our early childhood program. The ideal candidate is a strong instructional leader, an effective communicator, and passionate about developing both students and staff in a nurturing learning environment. Qualifications Required Must meet all Michigan LARA licensing requirements to serve as an Early Childhood Program Director. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Experience in school administration, early childhood education, or educational leadership. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff. Preferred Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or a related field. Montessori experience and understanding of Montessori philosophy. Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to work effectively within a diverse school community. Experience supervising staff and providing instructional coaching. Responsibilities Leadership & School Operations Assist the Principal with the daily management and operation of the school. Support student discipline, behavior intervention, and conflict resolution. Meet with parents to address student concerns and foster positive school-home partnerships. Assist with student supervision and school safety procedures. Coordinate substitute coverage and assist with staff scheduling and time-off management. Help ensure compliance with school policies and state licensing requirements. Early Childhood Program Oversee daily operations of the early childhood program in accordance with Michigan LARA licensing regulations . Ensure licensing compliance, documentation, inspections, and required records are maintained. Support curriculum implementation and classroom quality. Mentor and coach early childhood staff. Staff Leadership Plan and facilitate professional development opportunities. Support teacher evaluations, coaching, and professional growth. Assist with onboarding and mentoring new staff members. Foster a collaborative and positive school culture. Summer Program Organize and oversee the school's summer program. Coordinate staffing, scheduling, enrollment, and daily operations. Ensure a safe, engaging, and well-organized summer experience for students and families. Events & Community Engagement Plan and coordinate school events, family engagement activities, and special programs. Assist with school-wide initiatives, celebrations, and community outreach.
