Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Lead daily classroom activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among preschoolers. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies. Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on their child's progress and developmental milestones. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child welfare and incident reports. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development related to early intervention and special education needs. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that supports child development instruction and toddler care best practices. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings; prior classroom management experience is essential. Knowledge of child development principles, childhood development milestones, and early intervention strategies. Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education techniques. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is required. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to child welfare and educational excellence.
