Position Overview The Childcare Assistant supports daily routines, supervision, and age‑appropriate activities while helping maintain a positive, structured environment. This role requires flexibility, patience, and a genuine love for children. Responsibilities Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care to children ages infant through school age Create and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment Support play‑based learning and daily activities Assist with meals, transitions, and general supervision Build positive, professional relationships with children, families, and co‑workers Follow licensing rules and daycare policies Qualifications Passion for working with children and supporting their growth Reliability, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain — assistance provided) Must meet all State of Michigan childcare licensing requirements All required training and certifications will be supported.
