Job Description
Our Child Care Connections Division seeks candidates for the following position: Family Child Care Substitute Specialist Prepare for and manage the daily operations of assigned family child care programs while serving as either a substitute or a second adult caregiver. Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Develop positive, collaborative relationships with family child care educators. Promote awareness of available shared services and connect providers with resources that help reduce costs, save time, and support long-term program sustainability. Must reside in one of the following counties: Becker or Otter Tail to cover our service area
Minimum Qualifications :
Two years of practical experience working directly with young children Knowledge of Minnesota Rule 2 and/or Rule 3 child care licensing regulations Must hold a valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance coverage if using own vehicle, and be able to arrange own transportation to meet with clients and conduct business within the service area
Preferred Qualifications :
One of the following: Possess or be pursuing a Child Development Associate (CDA) Associates or Bachelors degree in child development, early childhood, education, human services or a related field Experience working in a child care setting Experience with community organizing, community engagement, and/or outreach Lived experience or a history working with individuals with low incomes The agency provides paid time off that includes ESST and a flexible work environment.
