Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Part Time Child Care Worker, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of all ages. In this role, you will support early childhood development by implementing age-appropriate activities, ensuring child safety, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. This position offers flexible hours perfect for individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in young lives while balancing other commitments. Duties Supervise children during play, learning activities, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being. Plan and facilitate developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences. Follow all mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly. Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic health needs of infants and toddlers as required. Support classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and respectful interactions among children. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in First Aid and CPR (including Pediatric First Aid) is required; ongoing training is encouraged. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork. Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement techniques. Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 25.0 per week
