In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment that promotes the holistic development of young children. Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that incorporates literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori principles to support diverse learning styles. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence among children. Manage classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and child welfare protocols to ensure a positive learning atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings and written updates. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor each child's growth and tailor instruction accordingly. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques to enhance program quality. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records related to child safety, attendance, and incident reports. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or private schools. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, special education needs, and Montessori methods. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to adhere to state licensing requirements and mandated reporting laws related to child welfare. Experience with toddler care, preschool teaching, or working with students requiring early intervention services is highly desirable.
