Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Daycare Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team! In this energetic role, you will serve as a versatile support staff member, stepping into various classroom settings to ensure seamless daily operations and exceptional care for children. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Assist lead teachers with classroom activities, lesson plans, and developmental assessments. Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap time, and bathroom breaks. Engage children in educational play, creative activities, and social interactions to promote childhood development. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in compliance with safety standards and licensing regulations. Collaborate with team members to implement behavior management strategies and support children with special needs or disabilities. Respond promptly to children's needs and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is preferred but can be learned on the job. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified will be provided at a later date. Strong classroom management skills coupled with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments. Passion for caregiving, nurturing young minds, and fostering positive behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to child welfare.
