In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment that promotes developmental growth and lifelong learning. Your dedication will help shape the future by fostering social-emotional skills, literacy, and foundational knowledge through innovative teaching methods and personalized care. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating early childhood education standards and Montessori principles when applicable. Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, independence, and positive social interactions among children. Conduct ongoing assessments of child development to inform instruction and support individualized learning goals. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster collaborative relationships. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of child welfare, attendance, and developmental milestones. Incorporate literacy education, math activities, physical education, and sensory experiences into daily lessons to promote holistic development. Skills Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings with a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing age-appropriate educational activities. Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with classroom management practices that foster a positive learning environment for young children. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety in emergency situations.
