As an ambassador of happiness, the Lead Teacher implements The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, partners with families, and mentors assistant teachers while fostering each child's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Responsibilities Create a warm, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum® through hands-on learning experiences. Develop weekly lesson plans that support toddlers' developmental milestones. Lead, coach, and mentor Assistant Teachers while promoting teamwork and professionalism. Ensure the classroom meets all licensing, health, and safety regulations. Complete daily health checks, diapering, toileting, feeding, and supervision while maintaining proper teacher-to-child ratios. Observe and document children's developmental progress. Maintain accurate daily reports, photos, and parent communication through the school's communication app. Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members. Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment. Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development. Support center events, family engagement activities, and school-wide initiatives. Model positive behavior and uphold The Learning Experience's mission and values every day. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 year of professional childcare or teaching experience required; lead teaching experience preferred. Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Strong classroom management and leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. CPR and First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Must meet all state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers. Frequently bend, kneel, squat, and sit on the floor. Stand and move throughout the day. Participate in indoor and outdoor activities in varying weather conditions.
