Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher for our Early Head Start program, committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, implement developmentally appropriate curricula, and collaborate closely with families to support each child's growth. Your energetic approach will inspire young learners and ensure they receive the highest quality early childhood education. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in infants and toddlers Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for young children Collaborate with families to communicate child progress, address concerns, and foster strong partnerships Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management strategies that support individual needs Maintain accurate documentation of child development milestones, attendance, and assessments in compliance with program standards Ensure adherence to all mandated reporting laws and health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR protocols Coordinate with team members to plan curriculum enhancements focused on literacy education, early intervention strategies, and preschool readiness skills Skills Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with infants and toddlers Strong knowledge of child development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques Excellent communication skills to effectively engage parents and guardians in their child's learning journey Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and health & safety standards including first aid and CPR certification Experience working in diverse educational environments such as private schools or community-based programs Join us as a Lead Teacher in our Early Head Start program where your enthusiasm fuels children's curiosity and growth!
