Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant early childhood education setting. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment that promotes the holistic development of children. Your leadership will ensure that classroom activities align with developmental milestones, curriculum standards, and best practices in early childhood education. Responsibilities Implement comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning tailored to preschoolers. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management. Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they meet developmental goals and adhere to educational standards. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings, reports, and updates. Conduct ongoing assessments of child development using standardized testing methods and adapt lesson plans accordingly. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certifications. Collaborate with colleagues to plan special events, parent workshops, and community engagement initiatives that support early childhood development. Skills Extensive experience working with children across early childhood age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers. New York State certification for birth through 2nd grade. Proven ability in classroom management, behavior management techniques, and creating engaging lesson plans that foster learning through play. Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and inclusive teaching practices. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication, team collaboration, and community engagement. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety procedures such as first aid and CPR certification.
