Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster developmental growth, social skills, and a love for learning among preschool children. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the foundational years of childhood development while gaining valuable classroom experience. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, lesson implementation, and curriculum delivery aligned with early childhood education standards. Support children's social, emotional, and behavioral development through positive guidance and behavior management techniques. Prepare classroom materials, educational resources, and learning centers to facilitate engaging lessons in literacy, math, and other core subjects. Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being. Foster inclusive learning environments by working effectively with children of diverse abilities, including those with autism or disabilities. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and classroom events. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Skills Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices in preschool education. Experience with lesson planning that incorporates literacy education, math concepts, and curriculum development tailored to young learners. Knowledge of behavior management strategies to support positive behavior and social skills development. Ability to work effectively with children of varying needs, including toddlers and children with special needs or disabilities. Classroom management skills that promote a safe, structured, yet flexible learning environment.
