Overview Join our dedicated early childhood education team as an Infant Room Assistant, where your enthusiasm and nurturing spirit will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our youngest learners. In this vital role, you will support the development and well-being of infants by creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. Your energy and commitment will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and growth, ensuring each child feels valued and supported every day. Hours are 1-6 M-Fr. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for infants, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Assist with daily routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and age-appropriate activities that promote development. Support early childhood education through engaging play, sensory activities, and developmental exercises tailored to infants' needs. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships. Follow mandated reporting laws to document any concerns related to child welfare or safety promptly and accurately. Collaborate with lead teachers and other staff to implement classroom management strategies that encourage positive behavior and social-emotional growth. Qualifications Prior experience working with infants in a childcare, daycare center, or preschool setting is highly preferred but not necessary Knowledge of childhood development principles and infant care best practices. Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; training is provided additional training in child development instruction is a plus. Familiarity with special education needs or experience working with children with disabilities is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining a warm, nurturing demeanor. Understanding of mandated reporting laws and behavior management techniques relevant to early childhood education.
