About This Role Plans, implements, and supervises a developmentally and academically appropriate before and after school program that meets the academic, social, emotional and behavioral needs of students. Coordinates planning and implementation of the daily program. Provides leadership and supervision to before and after-school education program staff. Perfect hours for those attending college in the local area or online. This is a part-time temporary (August 2026-June 2027). What You'll Do Responsibilities Actively supervise their classroom. Helps with general housekeeping tasks, such as sweeping the floors, cleaning the tables, and taking out trash. Assists students in returning materials in an orderly manner. Maintains a professional attitude at all times. Treat all children with dignity and respect. We talk TO the children not AT them. Attends all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences. MUST maintain a neat and organized classroom. Helps children establish good habits of personal hygiene. Supervise all activities to ensure safety at all times. Use your better judgment when picking activities for the children. Report to the Director any problem that may occur with the children AFTER you have attempted to handle the situation. Complete an incident report when needed. Participates in dismissal procedures at the end of aftercare, ensuring that each child leaves with the appropriate adult. Greets parents and children with salutations and smiles. Works with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere . Participates in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth, maintaining current knowledge of early childhood practice. Requirements Must be 18 years of age. High school diploma. Pass FBI/BCI background check. Pass a medical examination.
