Job Description

Summit Day School is looking for a warm, dependable Infant Support Teacher to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with babies, enjoys being part of a collaborative classroom, and is excited to work in a bilingual early learning environment. At Summit, language development begins from the very start. Children are exposed to both English and Spanish throughout their day through conversation, songs, books, routines, and play. In our infant classroom, we pair that language-rich environment with responsive caregiving, strong relationships, and plenty of opportunities for babies to move, explore, and grow. As an Infant Support Teacher, you'll work alongside our classroom teachers to ensure every baby receives attentive, individualized care while helping the classroom run smoothly.
Your day will include:
Supporting bottles, feeding, diapering, naps, and daily care routines Engaging babies through floor play, songs, books, sensory experiences, and age-appropriate activities Supporting our bilingual environment through conversation, songs, books, and everyday routines Encouraging early language, movement, and developmental milestones Following safe sleep practices and Oregon childcare licensing requirements Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary infant classroom Providing active supervision and helping maintain classroom ratios Building warm, consistent relationships with children, families, and your teaching team We'd love to meet someone who: Genuinely loves working with infants and understands that caregiving is an important part of teaching Is patient, attentive, reliable, and actively engaged Takes initiative and enjoys working as part of a team Is open to feedback, training, and professional growth Has previous infant, childcare, nannying, or early childhood experience Is excited about working in a bilingual program; Spanish-speaking or bilingual candidates are especially encouraged to apply Benefits Competitive salary based on experience, including 1.5x hourly pay for overtime Healthcare, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) and bonus incentives Opportunities for professional development and growth Supportive work environment within a growing school community Employee discounts on childcare services Babies build incredibly strong relationships with their caregivers, so consistency and reliability matter to us.
