Duties:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for children in a childcare setting
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
• Manage and redirect challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement techniques
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being and development of each child
• Create and maintain daily schedules, including meals, naps, and activities
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Provide individualized care for children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare facility

Skills:

• Experience in curriculum development for preschool-aged children
• Strong behavior management skills, including knowledge of positive reinforcement techniques
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
• Ability to adapt activities and teaching methods to meet the needs of children with special needs
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
