Duties:

Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for children in a childcare setting
Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
Manage and redirect challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement techniques
Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being and development of each child
Create and maintain daily schedules, including meals, naps, and activities
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
Provide individualized care for children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare facility

Skills:

Experience in curriculum development for preschool-aged children
Strong behavior management skills, including knowledge of positive reinforcement techniques
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
Ability to adapt activities and teaching methods to meet the needs of children with special needs
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues
Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
