Job Description
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for children in a childcare setting
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Manage and redirect challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement techniques
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being and development of each child
- Create and maintain daily schedules, including meals, naps, and activities
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Provide individualized care for children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare facility
Skills:
- Experience in curriculum development for preschool-aged children
- Strong behavior management skills, including knowledge of positive reinforcement techniques
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Ability to adapt activities and teaching methods to meet the needs of children with special needs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
