Job Description

DuBois Area YMCA is seeking to hire individuals to work in our Child Development Center.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe, healthy, and fun environment for all children Communicate with parents on an ongoing basis Maintain a clean and safe environment for children Provide positive experiences with each child in the classroom Encourage cooperation and positive behavior Other duties assigned by the Lead Teacher and/or

Director of Childcare Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum High School Diploma or GED 2+ years of experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred Previous experience in a childcare or early care setting preferred, but not required. Ability to work well in a team environment Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as ability to inspire confidence and interact with students individually Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, bend, kneel, and sit for an extended period of time.
