Job Summary Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the growth and development of young children. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children from infancy through preschool age. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and positive behavior management. Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized environment and adhering to health and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns about their child's well-being. Participate in ongoing training related to child development instruction, first aid, CPR, mandated reporting laws, and behavior management strategies. Help facilitate inclusive learning experiences for children with special needs or disabilities by supporting individualized education plans (IEPs). Assist with diapering, feeding infants and toddlers, and providing basic pediatric first aid when necessary. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire), including pediatric first aid training. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Strong classroom experience with toddlers and preschool-aged children; familiarity with classroom management techniques. Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, children, and team members effectively. Ability to follow mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality regarding children's information. Demonstrated ability to supervise children safely while fostering a nurturing environment. Pay:
$12.00 - $17.00 per hour
