Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Pittsburgh Manchester Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. If you love working with children, leading engaging activities, and being part of a positive, supportive team, you'll help shape a safe and fun environment where kids can grow and thrive.

$13.50 - $14.50 per hour
SCHEDULE
Follows the school calendar
Morning Program:
7:00 AM - 9:00
AM Afternoon Program:
3:45 PM-6:00 PM

Position Responsibilities The Before and After School Program team is responsible for: Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
2 or more years of experience working with children under 13
Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
