Overview Roots Learning Academy is a Christian hybrid and co-op homeschool program seeking passionate academic mentors for small groups of students. Assist students in their homeschool education 3 days a week in a supportive, family-centered environment where you have the freedom to build meaningful relationships with the students. This job requires 3 days of in-person teaching and a few outside hours of planning, preparations, and communication. Duties In the mornings, lead a small group of 8-10 students in their math and reading. Preschool curriculum is Montessori style, with lead teachers setting up guided hands-on activities and assisting in educational play. Monitor lunch/recess. In the afternoons, larger classes of 12-15 students to learn the Bible, social skills, and more. Lessons are planned for you, but gathering materials and preparing for the days is necessary. Communicate with parents and other staff on student success, struggles, and behavior. Qualifications Up to date clearances. At least 3 years experience in preschool setting. Degree in education or related field. background or knowledge of Montessori style of education. Preferred experience in homeschool education. Hours 8:30am - 2:00pm, with option to stay until 3:00pm Tuesdays-Thursdays from September through May.

Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
