Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Director and Sub Childcare to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will support the leadership of our childcare programs, assist in managing daily operations, and step in as a substitute caregiver when needed. Your enthusiasm for early childhood development, combined with your organizational skills and experience working with young children, will help create a nurturing environment that promotes learning, safety, and joy. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and well-being of children while gaining valuable experience in education administration and university-level teaching settings. Duties Assist the Director in overseeing daily childcare operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and educational policies Support curriculum implementation that fosters developmental milestones and promotes active learning Step into the role of substitute caregiver or teacher as needed to maintain consistent care and instruction for children Collaborate with staff to plan engaging activities that encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental progress, and incident reports Support communication with parents and guardians to provide updates on children's progress and address concerns Contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, and program evaluations to enhance service quality Qualifications Higher education teaching experience or background in early childhood education is highly desirable Proven experience working with young children in childcare or educational settings Strong knowledge of education administration principles within a university or similar institution Demonstrated ability to support curriculum development and classroom management Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members Prior experience in university or higher education environments is a plus Passion for fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment Join us in shaping the future by nurturing young minds!
