Full-time or part-time Bright Haven Child Care Center is hiring a reliable Center Support Staff member to assist with daily classroom and center operations. This position helps support our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms as needed. Duties may include helping with diaper changes, assisting teachers, supporting meal routines, food prep, dishes, cleaning, and keeping the center organized and safe. We are looking for someone dependable, calm, flexible, and willing to help wherever needed. Responsibilities Assist in classrooms as needed Help with diapering and toileting routines Support meal and snack times Help with food prep and dishes Clean and sanitize areas throughout the center Follow teacher and director instructions Maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment Requirements Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent preferred Must pass required DCYF/background check before working with children Must complete TB clearance as required Must provide MMR vaccination record or proof of immunity, unless exempt under applicable rules Must obtain a Washington Food Worker Card before preparing or serving food Must complete required child care training and Bright Haven orientation Must complete bloodborne pathogens/prevention of exposure to blood and body fluids training before working with children CPR/First Aid required before being counted in ratio or working unsupervised Safe Sleep training required before assisting in the infant room Previous child care, caregiving, food service, or cleaning experience helpful but not required Bright Haven Child Care Center is a licensed child care center in Oak Harbor.
