Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards and promote holistic development. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere by managing behavior effectively and encouraging respectful interactions among children. Support children's social-emotional growth through responsive caregiving, guidance, and conflict resolution strategies. Conduct regular assessments of child development milestones and communicate progress with parents and guardians. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR protocols. Collaborate with families through consistent communication about their child's progress, needs, and classroom activities. Incorporate literacy education, math activities, physical education, and other learning experiences to support comprehensive child development. Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and welfare of all children in accordance with state regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development related to curriculum development, special education needs, early intervention strategies, and childhood welfare best practices. Skills Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills. Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education methodologies, and behavior management techniques. Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy, math, physical activity, and social-emotional learning components. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and teamwork with colleagues. Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs to support diverse learning needs. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or preschool teaching are preferred. Experience working within private school environments or daycare centers is advantageous.
