Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom where children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. Your enthusiasm for early childhood development and dedication to fostering a positive learning atmosphere will help set the foundation for each child's future success. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while working within a supportive team committed to excellence in preschool education. Duties Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical activity, and creative arts, aligned with early childhood education standards. Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies to support children's social and emotional development. Engage children in hands-on activities that enhance their cognitive, motor, and language skills through play-based learning and structured lessons. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address any concerns regarding child welfare or behavior. Maintain detailed records of child development progress, standardized testing results when applicable, and lesson plans to ensure compliance with educational standards. Follow mandated reporting laws diligently to ensure child safety and well-being at all times. Collaborate with colleagues to plan special activities such as physical education sessions or Montessori-based learning experiences that foster independence and curiosity. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred; familiarity with toddler care is a plus. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early intervention strategies. Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms effectively while maintaining a warm and engaging environment. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or Montessori teaching methods are advantageous. Experience with behavior management techniques and classroom management tools is essential for creating a positive learning space. A background in early childhood education or related fields such as childhood development or preschool teaching is highly desirable.
