Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Child Care Assistant to join our nurturing early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment. Responsibilities Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum plans focused on childhood development and learning goals Support children with classroom routines, including meal times, nap times, and play periods Engage children in educational activities that promote social skills, creativity, and cognitive development Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and needs Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and safety Follow mandated reporting laws and procedures to ensure compliance with child protection regulations Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older High school diploma or GED Must be able to pass required background check Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred but no required Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) including pediatric first aid training Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement Familiarity with mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and legal complianceJoin us as a Child Care Assistant to help shape bright futures! Pay:
$10.25 - $11.25 per hour Expected hours: No more than 8.0 per week
