Description The Psychology Department at Stonehill College is looking for a Professor of Practice (non-tenure track) to begin July 2027. The new faculty member will join a department of 10 full-time faculty with a wide range of disciplinary expertise. The department also prides itself on supporting each other and supporting a quality work-life balance for all. Responsibilities At Stonehill College, a Professor of Practice is a person who devotes their time to teaching and is eligible for advancement and promotion. This is a full-time position with a course load of 8 classes per academic year (i.e., 4 per semester) and may include Introduction to Psychology, lifespan development, child development, and potentially courses in the candidate's area of specialty. Typical Qualifications We seek applicants who have completed a Ph.D. in developmental psychology. Applicants should be committed to excellence in teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduates, as well as a strong commitment to diversity and intersectionality. Experience mentoring and supporting students from traditionally under-represented backgrounds (first-generation, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, minority religion, etc.) is also preferred.
