DP Psychology:
Year 1 Teacher for grades 11-12 CURRICULUM In the IB Diploma Programme (DP) Psychology course, students develop "psychological literacy." The DP Psychology curriculum aims for students to: develop knowledge and understanding of psychological concepts, content and contexts including models, theories, and research methodologies think critically and creatively about behaviour and cognitive processes, including the assessment of evidence and acknowledgement of the evolving nature of knowledge engage with problems facing individuals, groups and societies using psychological understanding and skills. By the end of their two-year course, students are expected to develop an Internal Assessment research proposal using one of the four research methods used in the class practicals, as well as take the rigorous DP Psychology exam.
IDEAL CANDIDATE IB FOCUSED
Familiar with (or eager to learn) International Baccalaureate (IB), the Diploma Programme (DP), and DP Psychology frameworks.

QUALIFICATIONS
Have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field; At least 2 years of teaching experience; Excellent oral, organizational, and written communication skills; Excellent listening skills; A belief in the intrinsic relationship between social-emotional learning and culturally responsive pedagogy. Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB), PYP, MYP, and Diploma Programme is welcome, but not required.
