This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Reading Specialist who is passionate about adolescent literacy and supporting individualized student achievement. Youll focus your expertise on a single high school student (age 15) who will benefit from targeted reading instruction designed to enhance his academic success in his chosen program.

Key Qualifications:

Masters degree in education or a closely related field Current and valid Reading Specialist standard certificate Strong background in literacy development at the secondary level Experience delivering individualized reading interventions Excellent communication and documentation skills

What Youll Be Doing:

Develop and implement reading strategies tailored to the unique needs of a high school student within a career and technical education program Schedule and deliver two hours of instruction per week, across two to three days Assess student progress, modify instruction as needed, and maintain comprehensive records Collaborate with school staff, counselors, and families to maximize student growth Encourage a supportive, strengths-based learning environment This contract begins September 28, 2026, and runs through May 30, 2027, providing a rewarding way to make a lasting difference with a focused, manageable caseload.
