Taylor University is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Kinesiology Department beginning in August, 2027,teaching primarily in the area of exercise science. Duties andResponsibilities This position is primarily responsible to: Testify to personalexperience of salvation in Jesus Christ, affirm belief in the University's Statement of Faith, abide by and practice our Life TogetherCovenant, and both personally agree with and support the Foundational Documents of Taylor University. Teach a variety of coursesthat may include Physiology of Exercise, Applied Nutrition, Research Methods, Lifespan Physiology, Biomechanics, general education courses,among others. The candidate should be comfortable with creative pedagogy. Develop and maintain an active program of faculty-mentoredstudent research and scholarship. Be involved in interdisciplinary and outreach-oriented health scienceinitiatives. Participate in student advising, faculty governance, and professional organizations. Other Duties asassigned

Typical Qualifications Required:

earned doctorate in ExerciseScience or a related field (ABD considered)

Required:

excellence in teaching, including integration of faith in theclassroom and discipline.

Required:

strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred experience with face-to-faceteaching Preferred experience with research or clinical experience in Exercise Science or a related field Supplemental Information The Kinesiology Department offers majors in Exercise Science and HumanPhysiology and Preventive Medicine, as well as minors in Coaching and Preventive Medicine. The department has 6 full-time faculty and ishoused in the Eichling Aquatics Wing of the Kesler Student Activities Center.
