Exercise Science Affiliate/Adjunct Faculty

Job Description

Cornerstone University (www.corrnerstone.edu) is a theologically conservative university in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We invite applications for a part-time affiliate (up to 3 classes/semester and some project work with a one-year agreement) and/or adjunct faculty (up to 3 classes/semester as needed) position in its growing Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science program.
Location:
Grand Rapids, Michigan Qualifications Requirements include a master's degree or higher (doctorate preferred) in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field with relevant teaching, certification, and/or work experience. The successful candidate will support the Exercise Science programs through effective instruction of students using experiential learning. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Possible courses to be taught or created include: Measurement and Evaluation Exercise Testing and Prescription Exercise Physiology Anatomical Kinesiology Principles of Strength and Conditioning Psychology of Sport and Exercise Electrocardiogram Basics Introduction to Biomechanics First Aid & Injury Prevention Various Activity Courses Responsibilities The successful candidate will serve as an affiliate/adjunct in Cornerstone's Exercise Science program instructing on-campus courses. Other responsibilities include maintenance of the human performance lab, course and program assessment, and other departmental duties as assigned.
