As a part of its strategicgrowth, LeTourneau has created a new general education program to advance its Christian polytechnic university saga that includes a coursethat equips students to reflect on the intersection of faith, technology, and human flourishing. • that is at the intersection of faith,technology, and human flourishing. This faculty member will also engage with LeTourneau's Faith, Science, and Technology Initiative, supportthe strategic direction of the university, and teach courses within their discipline. Potential disciplines include but are notlimited to: philosophy, psychology, social sciences, natural sciences, computer science, artificial intelligence, engineering, aviation,business, education, allied health, and medicine. This is a nine-month, tenure-track position with rank negotiable based onexperience. Classes and other responsibilities are conducted primarily weekdays but could include some evening classes and independentstudies. Attendance will also be required at some evening and weekend events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and teachtopical courses in Technology and Human Flourishing that fulfill the newly revised General Education outcomes Serve as a facultymember and teach courses in the candidate's primary discipline Contribute to the strategic vision of the university, especially withrespect to the goal of becoming a trusted, national voice on Faith, Science, and Technology Maintain excellence in classroomteaching and promote creative and strong pedagogical practices within the course curriculum Participate actively in the universitylearning community by serving on department, school, and/or university committees and special service assignments Participate instudent advising, success, and retention programs Maintain a commitment to academic scholarship in the field of expertise
