Faculty | Upper School Science Teacher (Short Term Leave Coverage) B Berwick Academy Faculty | Upper School Science Teacher (Short Term Leave Coverage) South Berwick, ME Full Time Paid Apply Responsibilities Berwick Academy seeks a dynamic and creative Science Teacher to cover a medical leave from mid-September to mid-December 2026. This position includes teaching four sections of high school science, with a primary focus in the Biological Sciences. The successful candidate will Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with existing curriculum and learning objectives. Differentiate instruction and assessments to support a range of learners. Integrate technology to enhance student engagement and learning. Communicate regularly with students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress. Communicate with the primary teacher about student progress at the conclusion of the coverage.

Responsibilities:

Teach one section of Advanced Biology, one section of Nutrition & Exercise Physiology, and two sections of Anatomy & Physiology. We will also consider candidates who have a background in General Biology. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in science education, with proficiency in Biology. Experience applying innovative, student-centered teaching practices. Understanding of adolescent development and current pedagogical best practices. Flexible, self-directed, and collaborative, with a commitment to students' growth both in and out of the classroom.
