SAT/ACT/SHSAT

Test Prep Instructor to inspire and guide high school students through their college entrance exam preparations. Responsibilities Deliver engaging test preparation instruction for the SAT, ACT, and SHSAT exams through both online tutoring platforms and in-person sessions. Develop and implement customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and address individual student needs. Utilize educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences, including digital practice tests, interactive lessons, and assessment software. Provide clear ACT preparation guidance, including strategies for time management, question analysis, and test-taking techniques. Support students in building core skills such as math, English, writing, and test-taking strategies to improve overall performance. Foster a positive learning environment by managing classroom dynamics effectively and maintaining student motivation. Track student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting instruction to maximize results. Qualifications Proven experience working with high schoolers in a tutoring or teaching capacity, especially in test preparation courses. Strong knowledge of the SAT, ACT, and SHSAT exam formats, content areas, and effective preparation strategies. Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum materials and lesson plans tailored to diverse learner needs. Experience with online tutoring platforms and integrating educational technology into instruction. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and engagingly. Background in classroom management, lesson planning, and working with teenagers in academic settings. Prior private tutoring experience or high school teaching experience is highly desirable.
